In September, we teamed up with the Sele-Vrhe sports club to host the successful “Clean Air Hike” event, which brought together hiking enthusiasts, nature lovers, and advocates of a sustainable lifestyle. The goal of the event was to raise awareness about air pollution and promote eco-friendly practices through a hiking experience.
Sustainable Hiking: We arranged a guided hike with a focus on minimal pollution and sustainable practices. The event was open to all generations, including families.
Learning and Discussion: In addition to enjoying the beautiful scenery, participants received information about air pollution, low-impact hiking practices, and the importance of environmental conservation. Discussions followed on staying on marked trails, reducing noise pollution, and proper waste disposal.
Responsible Hiking: We emphasized the importance of responsible interaction with nature and the environment. Participants were encouraged to adopt the principle of “leave no trace,” highlighting the significance of responsible hiking.
Inspiration for Sustainable Choices: The event served as inspiration for sustainable habits. Participants reflected on their carbon footprint, noise pollution impact, and preserving natural habitats. Based on the event’s encouragement, participants could make sustainable decisions for their everyday lives.
The “Clean Air Hike” was more than just a hike; it was a step towards awareness, responsibility, and sustainable living. By combining natural beauty with a sustainable message, we created an unforgettable experience that will surely leave a lasting impression on the hearts of all participants.
The event was organised as part of the Green League project.
